Pilates is a full body exercise method. It strengthens and stabilises your core, your foundation as well as your whole body. This means you can move more efficiently and effectively, recover from injuries and reduce your chance of further problems. At the same time you can expect to see improvements in your posture, balance, flexibility and mobility. As you leave a class you should feel a strengthened, lengthened and toned.

Pain, loss of strength and pelvic floor weakness post pregnancy and C-section delivery

We began with 1:1 sessions tailored to the individual, discussing ideas such as pelvic floor exercises and correct back care which were then incorporated into day to day life. A home exercise programme was provided. Correct breathing techniques were taught to allow to pelvic floor and core muscles to engage effectively. After a period of 1:1 sessions the client then was able to join the beginners classes and as strength was regained she progressed onto more advanced exercises. The client is now a regular at class twice a week and regained full functional strength and control

Love my Pilates classes with Jen. I’ve taken Pilates with various instructors and would definitely recommend Jen. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at as she covers all levels. During the online classes during lockdown you would think Jen could see you, as soon as you lost position her voice kicked in correcting you. As Jen is also a Chartered Physiotherapist she really caters for all needs and will advise you according to your ability, definitely the best!

I first started working with Jen on a 1 to 1 basis 7 weeks after my baby was born via C section after 6 months of severe CPD. With Jens extensive knowledge of womens health I could see improvements quickly and recovery was faster than with my previous sections. I then moved on to attended twice weekly classes and over time I could really feel my strength improving. I suffer from chronic pain and I can honestly say there are days I am only able to get about because of exercises Jen has taught me to use. Her open and bubbly personality means she gets to know all those at her classes and is extremely adapt at tailoring each exercise for an individual even in a busy class. It has never been more important to look after our health both physical and mental and this amazing lady goes a long way with both.

After suffering with back pain for years, up to and throughout my first pregnancy I knew I needed to do something. I came across Freedom Pilates and having never experienced Pilates before I messaged the page to ask a few questions. Jennifer was extremely helpful and I signed up for classes. That was December 2016 and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! The benefits physically and mentally are huge. The classes are relaxed and Jennifer is extremely professional and a wealth of knowledge. With the strength I have built up my back problems are virtually non-existent. Pilates has become a permanent part of my life!
